Hailing from Canada, Tim put down roots in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2006. A keen cinematographer with a passion for finding the light, Tim is also a music producer and songwriter and has directed dozens of projects for the music industry.
Mentored by Dylan Kussman (screenwriter of The Mummy/Mission: Impossible – Fallout) and the late Bobby Stone (of Atomic Films), Tim Cofield has a talent for the big picture – how cinematography, music, sound design and humanity all come together to impact a targeted audience.
Locally in Tennessee, Tim Cofield has worked with The Pop-Up Project, EPB, Urban Story Ventures, The Ark Pet Spa, MoonLight Roller, Miller Industries, Hamilton Country Department of Education over the past 10 years in roles including director, producer, editor, cinematographer and music supervisor (sometimes simultaneously).
Internationally Tim has traveled literally around world filming documentary/branded content. Tim has worked as a camera op on ad campaigns for clients such as Cliff Bar, Gatorade, Disney, Team Kellogg’s and Tennessee Tourism, Microsoft, IcyHot and HerbalLife. Two films Tim worked on have gone to the 2018 Cannes Film Festival (France) and won 5 awards. He has lensed celebrities such as Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Jason Isbell and Citizen Cope.
